Bonanno
Kay Bonanno travels frequently to collect material and ispiration for her landscapes. A watercolorist for 20 years, she also works now in pastel. Other subjects include still-lifes and figures.
Kay's work has been accepted into many juried competitions in Southern California including the San Diego watercolor Society and the California Art Club Annual Gold Medallion Exhibit. In 1993 she won a Bronze Award from the Art of California Magazine.
A "plein air" painter, Kay Bonanno feels that if a subject is portrayed with joyful color and a sense of light, it can induce a cheerful response. "A worthy endeavor for the artist is to express beauty, convey a joyful mood and lift the spirit."
